SPEED!!

"Beep –Beep…the horn of the car was madly pressed to force others to just let the car pass, and it was in some kind of emergency. The speed of the car was uncontrollable as the driver lived in speed and the pace always attracted him. The bumps and the speed breakers on the road also couldn’t even make the driver press the brakes. The speed was exceeding the limit of a hundred kilometer per hour, and now there he finally saw the reason to lower down the speed of the vehicle.
The narrow bridge, there he saw ahead of him, his leg was compelled to act, press the brakes, oh he did finally, the leg pushed the brakes after almost like a span of fifteen awesome speedy minutes.
“Oh Shit! He yelled, as the brakes didn’t work at all, he was doomed now, he knew that. The bridge was narrow and only vehicles from one side could only pass at a time. He was terrified now, he felt like he was living his last few moments, as there was no way he could save himself from this situation. He still couldn’t figure out about the break fail, how it happened. The things struck in his mind in a matter of seconds. He still could try at least to take a U- Turn, so he steered completely to the right, but the speed was too much and it pushed the car forward upside down towards the bridge, his remaining oxygen couldn’t think of anything. People can’t even think of anything in this kind of situation, and they always take shit decisions at the last moment. He still could think of his extremely beautiful wife, and his 2 month old infant, and the parents who sacrificed everything for him. These were the only precious people in his life, he could think of these people only. He could only utter “Sorry” to himself as his last word which no one even could hear.
The car rolled upside down and fell off the bridge; there was a slight chance of saving himself if the car had fallen down in water safely but unfortunately, he had lost all his hope after that severe accident on the road itself, he had lost almost everything his body ever had and had already quit life when the car was floating in air.
The accident attracted the people to form a crowd there, just gazing their big, ignoring eyes just to view the scenario. Maybe somebody called, 100, the ambulance and a crane arrived along with the police forces. The sirens of the police vans were so loud that the noise pollution could damage the ears of the people gathered there.
Finally after struggling for almost fifty minutes the crane could carry the car out of the water along with the dead body stuck inside. The police then took over, searched the body for identification, found a wallet drenched in water, and a cellphone that didn’t work at all, maybe that’s because for struggling inside the water for this long. The laptop case and some files were there too, which could help flow this sad information to his family.
Trr-ring!!Trr-ring!! The phone rang in his house; no one picked it up as the ladies were busy with the household chores and the only male was playing with his precious grandchild. After skipping some rings, his wife finally picked up the phone. “Helloo-oo!”
She kept silent and stood still after fifteen seconds after hearing some words from the other side, she couldn’t speak of anything. The happiness that was flowing inside her veins were automatically injected with sad news and made her numb; she couldn’t think of a word to express, she just kept the phone down while the other person was still speaking something. She couldn’t stand up, she couldn’t bear the gravity now, her blood pressure fluctuated and compelled her to faint and fall on the ground.
The sound made the others to run inside the living room and stay around their daughter-in-law. They were terrified looking at her condition, then the mother poured some water on her face and she regained consciousness but soon after she remembered the phone conversation, she lost her senses again, she was half alive, half conscious, her senses were numb as she didn’t know what to do now; the realms of pain inside her memories ordered the tears to flow out of those beautiful eyes. The screams of pains came like an echo inside the silent room, still their parents were scared but they were unaware of their one and only son’s demise.
“What happened love?” Mother was already in tears, the emotions automatically out of her body and was trying to comfort her daughter-in-law.
“He is no more” those were the only words she could utter and the mother could guess with her tears that she has lost the only pearl from her life. The two ladies were lying down on the ground with their tears trying to form a lake. The father still couldn’t believe the loss of his son, so he decided to go to the hospital to identify the body, with his heart almost dead, still controlling all the urges and pains inside the body, he went to the hospital.
There were various bodies in the morgue section of the hospital; the ward boy just opened a drawer specially designed for the body to be kept inside safely. The father couldn’t open his eyes after the confirmation of the body; his life stabbed him with the greatest pain of his life, the death of his son.
Death walked by, stole the soul of his son and left with an evil grin. The doctor wanted the half alive father to sign some papers for him for the body to be delivered back to their home.
The father couldn’t bear anymore, the strength he had inside to show off to the world died along with his son. The body was stored in an ambulance van along with his father and sent back to where it belongs, their home.
The two ladies were waiting for the owner of their house to bring the good news that their son is still alive, but the hopes were all shattered into pieces when they saw an ambulance heading towards their home and the father all in tears. The body was then taken out of the van and placed on the floor as per the father’s orders.
The mother had turned mad along with her daughter in law still as a statue with no emotions at all but the tears were unstoppable. The pains were like unavoidable as the main character of their life had left them.
The father had lost his replica, the strength of the family with whom he shared every adventures of his adulthood, the one and only disciple, the person who he wanted to follow all his teachings, the son who had lived up to his dream, the child who he was proud of that he succeeded in his every work.
The mother had lost the only child from her life. She had lost all the pains and struggles of those nine months, lost the reason of her happiness. She had lost her precious child whom she loved a lot, whom she spent her time watching him grow up, lost the person who gave her the reason for the tears of joy. She had lost that one jigsaw from her life without which the puzzle of her life always will stay incomplete.
The wife had lost the first love of her life, the one who has sacrificed everything for her, the father of her child. She had lost the only hope of her life, the only reason to stay alive in this selfish world. She had lost everything; she was rich in wealth but what wealth means when there is no one to live for. She couldn’t even live again and stand up as a single mother, she couldn’t even gain support and comfort from someone else, she couldn’t fall for someone else as the society didn’t let a widow to fall in love again and get married again, her life was up in the eyes of others, but she had to live, she had to live for the last gift that he had left, their two month old child, the last hope that was left for her to stay alive. The child was smiling and crying and living in his own world as he was unaware of his father dismissal, all he could think about the milk that he always waits to be breastfed. He was living in his selfishness, the naïve infant couldn’t do anything, couldn’t even comfort his mother that he is still there and will take care of her.
The friends who had just arrived were all sad all struck with the loss of one of their brother. The anger inside them was scolding the God for taking the life of their friend this early. They all knew that the rules of life couldn’t be breached but the early expiry made them sad. They couldn’t show their tears but the sadness they felt deep inside couldn’t be shown to anyone else. They had lost their drinking buddy, the buddy with whom they spent their childhood. They were all busy in their lives and couldn’t give time to each other now but the dead soul might be happy that he became a reason for his friends to get back together. The body was then taken to Pashupati for the cremation ceremony.
The wife of the dead body was all dressed in white sari, all the ornaments removed from her body and no marks of Crimson on her forehead. She was officially turned into a widow now; the mother and father were also dressed in white as to follow the ritual of their society. How could people care about the ritual even when they lost someone from their life?
After completion of the ritual and the sadness still flowing in their veins when all of them were haunted by the loss of the loved one, it was time to cremate the body. As the son must cremate the body according to the ritual but the two month old infant only cared about the milk, so the father of the dead body completed the ritual by setting fire on the pyre. The tears were flowing in everyone’s eyes along with the fire that was turning the body into ashes. The smoke coming from the burning fire were tranquilizing them with the sadness and making them remember the moments they spent with the dead body. It’s funny how a pronoun “he” can change into “the body” after the person is dead.
Their life was never going to be the same after this sad event, they had to survive for each other, they just couldn’t quit losing all hopes, the widowed mother had to work now as to support the family, as her husband was the only working male of the family. The friends had to live with the memories now as the person can’t return from where he has gone. The infant had lost his father, he could never call anyone father now, he would find only his mother in the future to scold him and to share his happiness and sadness. He would miss all the tricks a father could teach but they had to live, the life is not over, they couldn’t quit like a coward, there’s more to come.
The death left all of them with their lives affected and in tears, but the hope for a better morning and better time must be there, the person must die after he has been born, it has become the greatest truth for all the living beings, and they are seeking courage to live past the blissful event and get over the sad demise of their loved one.
It’s not over yet, they all know that but the person who left them had made a great mark deep inside their hearts that couldn’t be buried with other events that quickly. The sadness must haunt them for a while; let them pour out some tears for the time being, let them free all the negative feelings from their mind, hearts and the body, make them strong enough to bear all the pains till it’s been distracted by something else. The time will change, and bring back the happiness they all lost through that event, the time will change.
